Team
The Raise Up Utah Coalition is made up of community-based organizations such as the Utah Community Advocate Network (UCAN), University Neighborhood Partners (UNP), United Way of Salt Lake, and more.
Work
The work of the Raise Up Utah Coalition is centered around three community-picked priorities: a high school in Glendale, building parent and student belonging in schools, and safety in schools.
Outcomes
» Raised funds and capacity supporting the role parent and community engagement play in student academic achievement.
» Convened 200+ community members from across the Wasatch front to produce priority topics to increase student success.

This study focuses on adolescents aged 13-19 and explores the nuances of the concept of belongingness, examining its shared attributes and potential divergences among youth across four distinct communities in Utah. In addition to collecting data on multifaceted dimensions of belongingness, this report includes youth’s perspectives on programs and policies that can help nurture a sense of belonging.
