Utah Community Health Workers Initiative

Utah Community Health Workers Initiative

Opportunity

The goal of this partnership is to strengthen the Utah Community Health Workers Association (UCHWA) as an integral stakeholder in delivering comprehensive, accessible, and people-centered healthcare for all residents in the state of Utah. Community health workers (CHWs) play a vital role in improving the health and well-being of Utah’s communities.

This initiative will support CHW-led efforts to improve health outcomes in priority populations, while also enhancing the CHW workforce to better reflect the state’s demographics. By strengthening partnerships across healthcare systems, government agencies, and community-based organizations, the program will create a more integrated and community-centered approach to public health, fostering both social and economic benefits throughout Utah.
